Victor W. Erwin, Former Resident, Dies in Iowa ity

Victor Ward Erwin, formerly of Mason City, who had been living at 1135 East 29th Street, Davenport, died Tuesday afternoon at the veterans Hospital in Iowa City following a heart attack. He had been in failing health the past summer.

Surviving are his wife, Hazel; three children, Sally, Ward Jr. and Jay, and six grandchildren.

The Erwin family lived in Mason City for a number of years. Ward was a member of a local orchestra, playing the violin. He also operated the Soda Grill in Clear Lake.

Mr. Erwin had been production manager of the commercial printing department of John Deere Company in Moline, Ill.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete.

[Interment was made at Pine Hill Cemetery, Davenport, Iowa.]
