Charles C. Cassiday, 83, retired employe (sic) of the Ray E. Pauley Co., died Sunday at a Mason City hospital, following a long illness. He had lived in Mason City 45 years, making his home at 705 Carolina N. E.
Mr. Cassiday was born Jan. 10, 1876, at Bonaparte, son of Joseph and Rebecca (Duer) Cassiday. He was married to Agnes B. Baldwin Marh 25, 1903, at Hudson.
They moved to Mason City in 1914 and had lived here since that time. Mr. Cassiday retired in 1950. He was a member of the First Congregational Church of Mason City and the IOOF Lodge.
Surviving are his wife, a son, Wilbur L. Cassiday, Alton, Ill., and a sister, Mrs. Charlotte C. Howe, Waterloo. He was preceded in death by a brother and sister.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p. m. Wednesday at the Major Memorial Chapel. The Rev. Robert L. Stone, pastor of the First Congregational Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel after 2 p.m. Tuesday.
