Mrs. W. M. Gregerson dies at 48

Mrs. William M. (Lucille Cavanaugh) Gregerson, 38, died early Thursday at a Mason City hospital following a long illness. She had been a resident of Mason City throughout most of her life.

Mrs. Gregerson was born Nov. 26, 1912, at Lohrville, daughter of Harry R. and Catherine (Kiley) Cavanaugh. She was graduated from the Holy Family High School in Mason City and was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church, St. John's Circle and the American legion Auxiliary.

She was married to William M. Gregerson, Dec. 3, 1945, at Rockford.

Surviving are her husband; five sisters, a twin, Mrs. Frank (Mary Yvonne) Fila Jr., Mrs. Frank (Gertrude) Swed and Mrs. Robert P. (Maureen) Hall, all of Mason City; Mrs. Larry (Arlene) Knoll, Algona, and Mrs. Paul (Rita) Coyle, Bloomington, Ill.

Four brothers, Eugene Cavanaugh, Davenport; Tom Cavanaugh, Phoenix, Ariz.; Don Cavanaugh, St. Paul, and Bill Cavanaugh, Charles City; and an aunt who reared her, Ella Kane, Mason City also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Maurice and Robert.

Requiem high Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Holy Family Catholic Church. The Rt. Rev. Msgr. Arthur J. Breen will be celebrant. Burial will be in the St. Joseph section of Elmwood Cemetery.

Circle Rosary has been set for 7:30 p.m. Friday and the parish Rosary at 8 p.m. Friday at the McAuley-Scanlan-Peterson Funeral Home.
