Obituary - Audra Helena (Hendricksen) Jensen
September 08, 1914 ~ June 23, 2000

Thornton — Audra Helena Jensen, 85, of Thornton, died Friday (June 23, 2000) at the I.O.O.F Home in Mason City.After completing her schooling, she began working in a grocery store and at the Farmers Elevator in Thornton, before going to cosmetology school in Mason City. Audra was the owner and operator of Audra's Beauty Shop in Mason City for 20 years before retiring in 1978.

She was united in marriage to Emil Jensen on Oct. 10, 1944, at the Methodist Church in Thornton. He preceded her in death in March of 1949.

Audra continued to live in Mason City before becoming a resident of the I.O.O.F Home in Mason City in February of this year.

She enjoyed blowing, crossword puzzles, playing cards, reading and Yahtzee.

She had been a member of St. Paul's Lutheran church in Thornton all her life and also taught Sunday School there for 15 years.
