Obituary - Betty Jane (Doane) Frye
July 28, 1942 ~ May 19, 2013

Betty Jane Frye, 70, of Hampton, passed away Sunday, May 19, 2013 at her home. Graveside services will be held 11:00 am, Friday, May 24 at Pleasant View Cemetery, Thornton.

Betty Jane Frye was born July 28, 1942 a daughter of Arbun E. and Sarah L. (Brunner) Doane in Mason City. She grew on the farm and attended Thornton schools, graduating from Thornton High School.

Betty Jane worked as a bookkeeper for several businesses most of her adult life. She also worked with crafts selling her creations at craft shows all over the country while enjoying her travels.

Betty Jane loved spending time with family and friends and gardening but the love of her life were her great grandchildren.

Betty Jane is survived by her daughter Cindy Oudekerk, Hampton; son Steve Frye, Colorado Springs, CO; granddaughter Savanna Meyer, Hampton; three great grandchildren: Hunter, Gracen & Alyvia; several cousins, nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters and 2 brothers in infancy.
