LLOYD FESSLER BURIED IN LAKE CEMETERY

Lloyd H. Fessler, 61, rural Swaledale, died Monday afternoon, Nov. 23, at a Rochester hospital following an illness of the last several months.

Funeral services were held at the United Methodist Church in Swaledale at 2 p.m. Friday with the Rev. Jack Weida officiating. Burial was in the Clear Lake Cemetery.

Lloyd Herman Fessler was born Sept. 20, 1909 in Polk County, the son of Peter and Freda (Schonhorst) Fessler. His parents moved to a farm near Swaledale in 1911 and he received his education in rural schools there. He was married to Dorothy Farrow Dec. 24, 1939 at Clear Lake. They farmed their present farm since their marriage.

He is survived by his wife, two sons, David and Richard, both of Swaledale, and two grandchildren; one brother, Harold, Thornton; two sisters, Mrs. Orval (Alma) Spilman, Clear Lake, and Mrs. John (Verneice) Pedersen, Swaledale.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister.

Mr. Fessler was a member of the United Methodist Church, Swaledale and the NFO.

Pallbearers selected were Kenneth Van Sickle, Virgil Cole, Donald Taylor, Robert Tracy, Arlo Erickson and Art Bussa. Organist was Mrs. Lester Bonner and soloist, Mrs. Richard Stille.

Transcriber’s Note – Lloyd Herman Fessler was born September 20, 1909, died November 23, 1970 and was buried in the Clear Lake Cemetery, Section B Row 3.
