MARGUERITE F. CRAWFORD

MASON CITY — Marguerite F. Crawford, 83, of 100 Lakeview Drive, died Thursday (Sept. 17, 1998) at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit, Mason City.

Private family graveside services will be held at a later date. Burial will take place in Clear Lake Cemetery with Monsignor Joseph Slepicka of St. Patrick's Catholic Church officiating.

There will be no visitation. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Ave., Mason City. Memorials may be directed to Hospice of North Iowa, Mason City.

Marguerite F. Crawford was born Jan. 23, 1915, in Clear Lake, to Olaf and Bertha (Buros) Halvorson. She graduated from Clear lake High School in 1932.

On Nov. 5, 1938, she was united in marriage to Keith P. Crawford in Clear Lake. Marguerite taught in Lincoln Township school for six years prior to moving to Mason City in 1955.

Marguerite was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and St. Joseph's Mercy Hospital Auxillary. She enjoyed playing bridge and golf as well as knitting and traveling.

She is survived by her husband, Keith P. Crawford, Mason City; one son, Larry Crawford and his wife, Kay, Shoreview, Minn.; a daughter, Jane A. Klang, Chaska, Minn.; two granddaughters, Lisa Klang, Minneapolis, and Kelly Etienne and husband, Tony, St. Louis Park, Minn.; and one great-granddaughter, Madeleine Shea Etienne, St. Louis Park.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
