WILLIAM A. “BILL” DUITSCHER

William A. “Bill” Duitscher, 51, of 2400 S. Shore Dr. #119, Clear Lake, died Friday, April 23, 2010 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, Minn.

A funeral service was held Friday, April 30, at St. John’s Episcopal Church, Mason City, with the Rev. Wendy Abrahamson officiating. According to Bill’s wishes, cremation took place following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the William A. “Bill” Duitscher Memorial Fund.

William Arnold Duitscher was born on Feb. 10, 1959 in Belmond, Iowa to Arnold and Madelyn (McCauley) Duitscher. He received his education from the Ventura High School and graduated amongst the class of 1977.

Bill held many hobbies, however some of his favorites were hunting and fishing, and cheering on the Green Bay Packers. But Bill’s greatest love and enjoyment was spending time with his family.

Those grateful in sharing in Bill’s life are his two sons, Joshua and Benjamin Duitscher, both of Mason City, Iowa; parents, Arnold and Madelyn Duitscher, Thornton, Iowa; special friend, Vic Schroeder, Clear Lake; siblings, Trudy Hillburg, Thornton, Judy (Tom) Linahon, Clear Lake, Bobbi (Jim) Robbins, Des Moines, Iowa and Lolly Duitscher, Mason City; nieces and nephews, Shay, Andy, Mike, Adam, Zach and Kamila; Vic’s daughter, Jessica (Robert) Andersen and her children, Zoey, Zach and Zara; and special companion, his dog “Chip”; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and friends.

Bill is preceded in death by his grandparents; one nephew, T.J. Hillburg; and his beloved dog, Coco.
