PAMELA KAY CHRISTIANSEN

Clear Lake - Pamela Kay Christiansen, 62, of 1307 Seventh Ave. N., died Friday (Jan. 2, 2009) at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit, Mason City.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 7, at the United Methodist Church, 508 Second Ave N., Clear Lake, with the Rev. Diana Hoover officiating. Burial will be in Ell Township Cemetery, Klemme.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Ward Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, 101 N. Fourth St., Clear Lake, and continue one hour prior to the service at the church.

Memorials may be directed to United Methodist Church, Clear Lake, Hospice of North Iowa, Mercy Cancer Center, or the North Iowa Humane Society.

Pamela Kay Lemke was born Feb. 7, 1946, in Mason City, the daughter of Clarence and Pearl (Neuberger) Lemke. She graduated from Klemme High School in 1964. Pam moved to Des Moines to work for an insurance company and later worked for Meredith Publishing Co. In the fall of 1966 Pam moved to Clear Lake.

Pam was united in marriage to Robert "Bob" Christiansen on Feb. 25, 1967, at the United Methodist Church, Klemme. She worked for the city of Clear Lake as an assistant city clerk. Pam worked for Futures Management Corp. of Iowa for several years as a corporate treasurer. Pam was the office manager for WHY USA Realty for a few years and later the office manager for Anchor Realty, retiring in February 2008.

Pam enjoyed motorcycles, classic cars, was an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan and a huge Neil Diamond fan. Pam and Bob enjoyed wintering south to Florida and Arizona. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Clear Lake, North Iowa Road Riders and the Clear Lake Auto Social Society.

Pam is survived by her husband, Bob Christiansen, Clear Lake; brother-in-law, David (Alice) Christiansen, Clear Lake; and sister-in-law, Doneta Pedelty, Clear Lake; aunt, Frances Neuberger, Garner; nieces and nephews, Anne (Finn) Bullers, Prairie Village, Kan., Tina Christiansen, La Vista, Neb., Kristi Sly, Altoona, Kimberly (Alan) Bernhard, Bancroft, Shelley (Michael) Phelps, Lone Rock; great-nieces and nephews, Christian and Alora Bullers, Benjamin Christiansen, Cora Jane Sly, Luke and Joshua Bernhard, Tatum, Thor and Tenille Phelps; along with numerous cousins and other relatives and friends.

Pam is preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Pearl Lemke and cousins Mark and Franklin Neuberger.
