TEED FUNERAL RITES ARE HELD
PIONEER RESIDENT BURIED IN CLEAR LAKE CEMETERY; M. E. PASTOR IN CHARGE

CLEAR LAKE, AUG 16 –Last rites for Mrs. Joseph Teed, who died suddenly Tuesday noon following an illness of 30 minutes, were conducted at the country home near Oakwood park at 2:30 o’clock this afternoon with the Rev. J.R. Tumbleson, pastor of the Methodist Church in charge. Beautiful floral offerings filled the rooms of the home.

Mrs. Teed, whose maiden name was Emma Amelia Woskie, was born Feb. 2, 1862, at Claymen, Wis. In her early childhood her parents moved to Jackson, Minn., and in 1874 they came to Clear Lake in a covered wagon drawn by oxen. The family located near what is now Tanglefoot where they built a log cabin.

Miss Woskie was married to Joseph Teed Dec. 1882, in Chicago, where they continued to reside for 12 years. They returned to Clear Lake and after a short residence in town bought a farm near Oakwood.

Six children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Teed, four of whom are living, Mrs. H.C. O’Brien of Clear Lake, Mrs. H.R. Anderson of Mason City, Mrs. Adolph Kocourek of Ledgerwood, N. Dak., and Arthur Teed of Watkins Glen, N.Y.

During the past few weeks a family reunion had been held at the Teed home when all the children and grandchildren were present.

Mrs. Teed was a member of the Royal Neighbors lodge and the Royal club.

The body was laid to rest in the Clear Lake Cemetery. Thorkel Sondrol, C.C. Palmeter, Leo Stork, Dan Spillman, Harry Oxley and Arthur Thompson acted as pallbearers.

NOTE – Emma Amelia Teed was born February 2, 1862, died August 13, 1929 and was buried in the Clear Lake Cemetery Section 5/6.
