Obituary - Dilo Rose Sheehy
July 06, 1951 ~ August 27, 2012

Dilo Rose Sheehy, 61, died Monday August 27, 2012 at her home in Mason City.

Trisagion Prayers of Mercy for Dilo will be held at 11:00am, Thursday, August 30, 2012 at Hogan Bremer Moore Colonial Chapels, 126 3rd St. NE, Mason City with the Reverend Joseph Mirowski officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Thursday.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions may be donated to the Dilo Sheehy Memorial Fund in care of her family.

Dilo Rose Sheehy, daughter of James and Esther (Reres) Sheehy was born February 11, 1951 in Mason City, Iowa. Dilo attended and graduated from Mason City Newman Catholic School and attended NIACC. Dilo was working for Mason City Business Systems for the last seven years.

She was a devoted mother of three, taking care of her children throughout her life. She enjoyed animals and spending time with her family and grandchildren. She also was an avid fan of the Minnesota Vikings and Iowa Hawkeyes.

Dilo is survived by her three children, TJ (Courtney) Piper, St. Louis, MO, Jillian (Russ) Daugerdas, Chicago, IL and Ryan (Katie) Piper, North Liberty, Iowa; grandchildren, Roslin Piper, Eleanor and Courtney Daugerdas and Reese Piper; mother, Esther Sheehy, Mason City; and brothers, John (Teri) Sheehy, Mason City and Tom (Deborah) Sheehy, Waukee, IA.

She was preceded in death by her father, James and brother, Maurice Sheehy.
