Patricia Ann was born June 21, 1929, in Mason City, Iowa, to Albert and Lila (Moon) Secory. She was one of four children. Growing up in Mason City, she was a proud graduate of Mason City High School’s class of 1947.

In 1948, she married Charles Robert “Bob” Lennan and to this union three children were born: Robee, Gordon “Guy” and Kandi. Pat and Bob later divorced.

After Pat’s children were grown and had families of their own, she began an in-home day care mainly watching her grandchildren along with a few others. She was also co-owner of Lorraine’s Poodle Grooming with her long-time best friend Lorraine Dotson.

In her early years, she and Bob would go dancing at the Surf and the Flame and Embers.

She loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Having a hard life, she always did the best she could for her family. Many of life’s lessons were taught to others.

One thing she excelled at was swimming and she made a great effort teaching he kids how to dive at the Eastbrooke pool.

Pat became a resident of Heritage Care Center in 2006. While residing there, she gained many friends and loved the staff. She enjoyed playing cards, BINGO, doing crafts and taking trips to the Diamond Jo Casino.

Pat was a fan of old movies and particularly those with Shirley Temple in them. She collected porcelain and ceramic dolls and had a collection like no other.

Pat is survived by her two daughters: Robee and her husband Tom Frank and Kandi and her husband Mike Dutcher; both of Mason City, nine grandchildren: Todd (Erin) Frank, Traci (Jammy) Galligan, Amy (Will Bradly) Dutcher, Jason (Stephanie) Lennan, Nicki (Jeff) Lessor, Bob (Abby Lewis) Dutcher, Skyler, Jordan and Cady Jo Lennan; seven great-grandchildren: Thomas and Brian Frank, Nick Kelly, Sam Dutcher, Jared Galligan, Cameryn Dutcher and Jaxon Lessor; and many special nieces and nephews.

Preceding Pat in death are her son, Gordon “Guy” Lennan, her parents, and her siblings Sally Niedermayer, Albert and Gordon Secory.

The family of Pat would like thank the staff at Heritage Care Center for the wonderful care that our mother and grandmother received.
