ROY SHOOK FUNERAL IS HELD AT WARD’S

CLEAR LAKE – Funeral services for Roy Shook, 32, Lincoln township farmer, who died at a Mason City hospital Thursday evening following a major operation, were held at Ward’s funeral home Sunday afternoon. The Rev. Ruben Mostrom, pastor of the Zion Lutheran church of which Mr. Shook was a member, conducted the rites and burial was in Clear Lake Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Lowell Trainer, Arthur Seidel, Harm Djuren, Jesse Purviance, Shirley Coe and Fred Pforr. Mrs. A.E. Folkmann, accompanied at the piano by Mrs. Irving R. Morgan, sang “In the Sweet Bye and Bye” and “Jesus Keep Me Near the Cross.” Mmes. Purviance and Djuren arranged the flowers.

Relatives from Mason City and Mr. and Mrs. Earl Harding, St. Paul. and Mr. and Mrs. T.C. Dethell, Eagle Grove, attended the rites.

NOTE – Roy Shook was born 1914, died March 1947 and was buried in the Clear Lake Cemetery Section B Row 4.
