MRS. VANZUUK DIES AT HOME
NO ARRANGEMENTS MADE FOR FUNERALCLEAR LAKE – Mrs. Henry VanZuuk, 55, died at her home, 701 Jefferson street, about 5 o’clock Wednesday morning following a long period of ill health. The body is at the Wilcox funeral chapel. Burial will be in Clear lake cemetery.
Lydia Mae Menzie was born at Hansel May 11, 1892, daughter of George and Hannah Phillips Menzie and was married to Mr. VanZuuk at Nora Springs Feb. 16, 1916. They lived successively at Boone, Hampton and Newton before moving to Clear Lake 2 years ago.
Mrs. VanZuuk is survived by her husband; 2 brothers, Robert Menzie, Oakdale and Ed Menzie, who lives in Arkansas, and 2 nieces, Mrs. Donald Ades, Ames and Mrs. Howard McNitt, Carpenter, who was reared in her home.
Mrs. VanZuuk was a member of the Woman’s Relief Corps, Linger Longer Birthday Club and Star Club. She attended the Methodist Church.
