Warren "Nifty" M. Fiedler, 95, of Mason City, Iowa, died Tuesday, May 2, 1995,
at the Heritage Care Center, Mason City. Funeral services were held Friday, May 5,
at the Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, Clear Lake, with the Rev. Dan Pietrzyk of
First Covenant Church, Mason City, officiating.

Interment was in the Clear Lake Cemetery, Clear Lake. The family suggests
memorials in his name.

Warren was born Dec. 29, 1899 in Chicago, Ill., the son of John and Dena
(Deudorf) Fiedler. In his early teens he moved to Conrad, Iowa, and
later to the Ventura, Iowa, area.

On July 10, 1926, he married Helen Dawson in Clear Lake. They farmed north
of Ventura for many years. Warren later worked for Woodford-Wheeler Lumber
Company in Clear Lake and Meservey, Iowa for 11 years. He retired in 1979
and moved to Mason City. In 1988 due to ill health he moved into the Heritage
Care Center, Mason City.

He is survived by his wife, Helen Fiedler, Mason City; three children, Virginia
Farris, Clarion, Iowa, Merle Fiedler, Alexander, Iowa, and Edna Warren "Nifty" M.
Fiedler Ruppelt and her husband, Wallace, Mason City; one sister, Hazel
Kohel, Deameron, Md; 11 grand-children; 12 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Edna Fiedler; and two grandsons.

Pallbearers were Craig Ruppelt, Russ Fiedler, Roger Farris, John Ruppelt, Ronnie
Fiedler, Dick Ueker.
