EDGAR, TRENARY, ENGEBRETSON, NULTON

Wallace T. Edgar, 82, passed away in Scottsdale, Az. on April 16, 2009.
He was born on Aug. 17, 1926 in Marshalltown, Iowa to Harold and Birdeva
(Trenary) Edgar. Wally grew up and attended school in Clear Lake, graduating in
1944. Upon graduation, he served in the U.S. Army Air Forces in Germany with
the occupation forces. On Aug. 14, 1948 he was married to Ruth Engebretson of
Mason City. He attended Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa and received a
degree in economics in 1950, after which he returned to Clear Lake to work for
Determan Electric of Mason City.

In 1951 they relocated to Tucson, Az. and worked for several years
decommissioning World War II aircraft in Marana, Az. Wally and family moved to
Phoenix, Az. where he was employed as a field auditor for the Industrial
Commission of Arizona. Wally’s auditing activities took him to all the Arizona
county seats during the 1950’s and 1960’s. He was often accompanied by his
family and engaged in fishing in the many lakes and rivers in Arizona. Wally
was later employed by the Maricopa Community College District until his
retirement. He enjoyed chess, which he taught to his son, as well as bridge and
investing in the stock market.

Wally will be dearly missed by the following survivors: wife, Jean Nulton
Edgar, Scottsdale; former wife, Ruth Edgar, Tucson; son, Mark (Cathy) Edgar,
Rancho Santa Fe, Calif.; daughter, Jodi (Mike) Rodack, Tucson; grandsons, Andy
and Alex Rodack, Tucson; step-son, Roger (Jami) Nulton, Tacoma, Wash.;
step-daughter, Ruth (Ron) Urban, Phoenix; step-grandsons, Steven and Tom
Shillingburg, Tempe, Az; brothers, Cle (Marleah) Edgar, Green Valley, Az.; and
Wesley (Myrna) Edgar, Phoenix and Clear Lake; sister-in-law, Bonnie Edgar, Clear
Lake; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Birdeva Edgar and by his
brother, Darrell Edgar of Clear Lake.

Memorials may be made in the memory of Wallace T. Edgar to Hospice of the
Valley, 1510 E. Flower Street, Phoenix, Az., 85014.
