Ralph Leonard Secory, 79, Clear Lake, died Tuesday, April 18, 2006, at the
Muse-Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City, Iowa.

Memorial services with military honors by the Veterans of Foreign Wars of Clear
Lake were held Saturday, April 22, at the Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, Clear
Lake, with Pastor Ed Bard, Chaplin of Hospice of North Iowa officiating.
Private family inurnment will be held at a later date.

The family of Ralph Leonard Secory has requested that memorial contributions be
made to the Muse-Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City in his memory.

Ralph Leonard Secory was born on March 8, 1927, in Clear Lake, the son of Ed L.
and Essie (Kimball) Secory. He attended and received his education in the Clear
Lake School, graduating from Clear Lake High School. He was inducted into the
U.S. Navy on Feb. 23, 1945, and served overseas during World War II until his
honorable discharge on July 16, 1946. After his honorable discharge he returned to
Clear Lake, and went into the plumbing business with his father.
Ralph's passion in life was gardening and his faithful companion dog, Keisha,
but his greatest love and enjoyment was his children, grandchildren, and
great-grandchildren.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 39 years, Karen of Clear Lake; his
children, Don (Judy) Secory of Gilbert, Az., Mike (Bonnie) Secory of Clear
Lake, Linda (Denny) Graff of Mason City, Cinda (Greg) Michel of Pittsburgh,
Penn., Pam Marsh of Clear Lake, Tom (Ronda) Secory of Mesa, Az., and Danniele
(Dwayne) Oppman of Clear Lake; 16 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; two
brothers, Don (Marge) Secory of Hemet, Calif., and Larry (Betty) Secory of Clear
Lake, as well as other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Steven, and a grandson,
Michael.
