CURTIS R. PITKIN
ANDREWS, Texas - Services for Curtis R. Pitkin, 71, of Andrews, Texas, were held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 14, at Calvary Baptist Church in Andrews, with the Rev. Bob Zap officiating. Burial was in the Andrews Old Cemetery under the direction of McNett Funeral Home.
Curtis died Monday, June 11, 2001, at Midland Texas Memorial Hospital.
He was born June 3, 1930, in Clear Lake.
He married LuElla Rosendahl on Sept. 16, 1950, in Garner. They moved to Andrews in 1957 from Iowa and he worked as a master mechanic for Northern Natural Gas, which is now Enron Gas.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Norvell, Virgil and Franklin; and a sister, Goldie Bitker.
Survivors include his wife, LuElla Pitkin, of Andrews, Texas; three sons, Mike Pitkin and Greg Pitkin both of Andrews, and Alan Pitkin of Midland, Texas; two daughters, Nancy Hotchkin of Odessa, Texas and Joan Thompson of Andrews, Texas; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
The grandsons were pallbearers and they included Mark, Aaron, Chris and Jeremy Pitkin, Charles, John and Jeared Hotchkin and Tracy Thompson and Brian Hicks.
