Pvt. Robert Bruce JOHNSON, whose wife lives at 4 Hazel court, was killed in action in France on Dec. 21, according to a message received here from the war department.
Pvt. JOHNSON had been overseas since last July. He was serving with the 7th army. At the time of entering the service he was employed as city salesman for Gamble-Robinson wholesale groceries here.
Pvt. JOHNSON has 2 brothers in the service. Their father, R. E. JOHNSON, lives at Viroqua, Wis.
NOTE: Pvt. JOHNSON was interred at Epinal American Cemetery, Epinal, Lorraine, France.
