MRS. SWEDBERG, NORA SPRINGS, DIES AT 73

Nora Springs – Mrs. Carl Swedberg, 73, died Wednesday morning at a nursing home here.

Born September 5, 1887, at Rock Falls, She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry F. Gildner.

She was married in 1905 to George Kendrew. After his death she was married to Carl Swedberg in 1949.

Surviving are her husband, a nephew, Paul Gildner, Nora Springs; two nieces; Mrs. Velma McKee, Mason City; Mrs. Paul (Zola) Malamen, Anoka, Minnesota; an uncle; Nels Gildner; and three aunts; Mrs. John Gashel; Miss Mabel Gashel; and Mrs. Josephine Squier, all of Nora Springs.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Methodist Church here. Burial will be in Park Cemetery with Sheckler Funeral Home in charge.

Maggie A. Gildner was born September 5, 1887, the daughter of Henry F. Gildner and Sarah Jane (Gast) Gildner.

She married George Henry Kendrew, the son of William Kendrew and Ida (Klink) Kendrew. George and Maggie were divorced by 1930, as per the 1930 Census, she is living with her parents. George died in 1932.

She married Carl Fred Swedberg, the son of Andrew Swedberg and Mathilda (Alf) Swedberg.
