Annna K. (Gildner) Howe – January 6, 1866 – October 29, 1939

ANNA K. HOWE, 73, SUCCUMBS
FUNERAL RITES TO BE HELD AT 2 O’CLOCK WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON

Mrs. Anna K. Howe, 73, died at a local hospital at 9:15 o’clock Sunday night following a short illness. She had resided in Mason City for 20 years.

Mrs. Howe was born January 6, 1866, in Falls Township, Cerro Gordo County. She resided at 311 Third Street Northwest. Her husband, Herman Howe, preceded her in death July 7, 1931, and two sisters; Margaret Gildner and Mrs. Edith Hanson.

Surviving Mrs. Howe are her mother; Mrs. Mary Gildner, Nora Springs; three daughters; Mrs. Minnie Pacey, Lyle, Minnesota; Mrs. Alma J. Oulman, Mason City; and Mrs. Etta Jewell, Mason City; and one son; Walter H. Howe, Nora Springs.

Three sisters; Mrs. Nettie Broderick, Rock Falls; Mrs. Lydia Gashel, Nora Springs; and Miss Mabel Gildner, Nora Springs; and six brothers; Henry F. Gildner and Nelson J. Gildner, Nora Springs; Arthur Gildner of Plymouth and Albert; Fred; and Conrad Gildner of Mason City also survive.
Mrs. Howe is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 18 nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the chapel of the McAuley and Son Funeral Home, with the Rev. William Galbreth, associate pastor of the First Methodist Church in charge.

Burial will be at the Park Cemetery at Nora Springs. The body will lie in state at the McAuley and Son Funeral Home until the time of service.
