Donald H. Schultz, formerly of Mason City, Iowa, died on Wednesday, April 14, 1993 at the Nora Springs (Iowa) Care Center.

Funeral services were held Saturday at Major Erickson Funeral Home in Mason City. Rev. E. Thompson officiated, and burial was in Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery. Military services was conducted by Mason City Veterans Memorial Assoc.

Donald H. Schultz was born on March 29, 1919 in Grafton, Worth County, Iowa, the son of Walter and Bertha (May) Schultz. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, and was discharged in 1945.

He was employed by Lehigh Portland Cement Co., and the Mason City Foundry for a short time. He then worked for Northwestern States Portland Cement Co. for 17 years, and retired in 1974.

He was a member of the VFW and American Legion.

Survivors include two sisters, Irene Bakker and Gladys and her husband, Harold Mansmith, all of Mason City; one brother, Leo and his wife Grace Schultz, of Mason City; four nieces: Judith Davis Friend of Liberty, Missouri, Jeannette and husband Richard Logan of Nora Springs, Sheryl Mansmith Weiner of Cartersville, and Leann Schultz Forbrook of Maple Grove, Minnesota; and three nephews: Gary and his wife Carol Davis of Rock Falls, Virgil and his wife Diane Davis of Mason City, and Roland and his wife Dorothy Davis of Missouri.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Pearl Davis; and two brothers, Lawrence and Roy Schultz.
