Obituary - Jacqueline R. "Jacque" (Bowers) Paulson

Jacqueline R. "Jacque" PAULSON, 73, of Clear Lake, died Friday, March 30, 2012 at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit, Mason City, Iowa.

A celebration of her life will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at the Clear Lake Church of Christ, 2010 14th Ave. N., Clear Lake, with Rev. Curtis McGINNIS officiating. Interment will be in the Clear Lake Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour before the service on Wednesday at the church. Family suggests memorials to Jacque PAULSON Memorial Fund.

Jacque was born Oct. 11, 1938 in Mason City, Iowa the daughter of Leonard and Betty (LATHAM) BOWERS. She graduated from Clear Lake High School in 1957.

Jacque married Keith PAULSON on Nov. 16, 1957 at the Evangelical Free Church in Clear Lake. She worked at many restaurants in Clear Lake, the Clear Lake Bakery, Unisys and a courier service in Clear Lake.

She enjoyed quilting, traveling, bowling, bus trips to the casino and the many motorcycle trips that she and Keith made. Following the death of her husband in 2005, she enjoyed spending the winters in Arizona.

She was a member of Clear Lake Church of Christ.

Jacque is survived by her three children, Dan (Deb) PAULSON, Klemme, Iowa, Dick (LuAnn) PAULSON, Clear Lake, and Roxanne (Joe) DWYER, Roselle Park, NJ; six grandchildren, Nicole KETCHUM and her fiancé, Marco BALDERAS, Rochelle QUIROZ, Courtney (Chris) LORENZ, Danielle (Blake) MILLER, Kelsey (Zach) KUNS and Dustin PAULSON; 15 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Lloyd (Josie) BOWERS, Sweetwater, Tex., David (Linda) BOWERS, Clear Lake, Tim (Deb) BOWERS, Wells, Minn.; four sisters, Patsy BENNER, Clear Lake, Julie FOUNTAS, Parachute, Colo., Donna (Bruce) TREBIL, Clear Lake and Tina CULLINAN, Clear Lake.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Betty BOWERS; step-mother, Leora BOWERS; husband, Keith; brothers-in-law, Vern BENNER and John FOUNTAS.

Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, Clear Lake, was in charge of arrangements.
