NORTHWOOD - Marvel Mae HARANG, 57, died Thursday (March 16, 2000) at her home in Northwood.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home, Highway 65 South, Northwood, with the Rev. Roxanne MILLER-SINCLAIR officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Plymouth.

Visitation will be after 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home and continue until the time of the service.

Marvel Mae HARANG was born on March 5, 1943, in Glendale, Calif., to Newell Butts and Melva (BRODRECHT) BUTTS. She served in the U. S. Navy from March 1963 to August 1964.

Survivors include her husband, Donald, of Northwood; daughters, Gloria TRUITT of Tucson, Ariz., Becky RHEINFELS of Albert Lea, Minn., Sonya MORTELL of Camas, Wash., and Stacy LABORIN, Glendale, Ariz.; two sons, Brian WRIGHT of Wassilla, Alaska, and Eric HARANG of Germany; her mother, Melva BUTTS of Waterloo; two sisters, Deanna FERSTL of Bowling Green, Ky., and Heather FERDEN of Waterloo; one brother, Frank BUTTS of Oceanside, Calif.; and 10 grandchildren.

Marvel was preceded in death by her father, Newell BUTTS; three children in infancy; and a grandson, Derek.
