Hold Services for Mrs. J. R. Grant at Manly Funeral Home

MANLY - Mrs. James R. GRANT, 65, died suddenly of a heart attack at her home 5 miles west of Manly recently. The Rev. John ZELTIN officiated at the services in the Bride funeral home ad burial was in Plymouth [Oakwood Cemetery].

Emma Marie GRANT, daughter of Nels and Martha JOHNSON, was born Dec. 1, 1875, at Osage. When a small child she moved with her parents to Cerro Gordo county. She was married to J. R. GRANT June 7, 1899, in Portland township and they moved to Mason City to make their home. They moved to Worth County in 1927 and had lived there since.

Surviving are her husand; a daughter, Jessie; three sons, Ralph, James and Elmber, all at home; a niece, Margaret Lorraine EYER, whom she had raised since infancy; and a brother, Elmer JOHNSON of Browerville, Minn. One son, Walter, died in 1910.
