Mrs. Rebecca Cooper (sic), Who Came to Iowa in Covered Wagon, Buried

PLYMOUTH, Jul 11. - Funeral services were held Tuesday at the M.E. church for Mrs. Rebecca COOPER. She was born in Illinois and came to Iowa when 4 years of age with her parents in a covered wagon. It took a month to make the trip, owing to road conditions. They settled at RUdd and later came to the COOPER homestead owned by a son, J. C. COOPER, 1 1/2 miles west of Plymouht. She was married to Albrt GOLDTHORP in 1873. Five children were born to them. Bertha, who is dead, Mae, Oscar, of St. Cloud, Minn., Lucy of Epping, N. Dak., and Olive of Plymouth. The Rev. Thomas COLLISTER officiated at the funeral. L. E. ARMSTRONG, J. M. McNITT, J. L. STEVENS, G. HUNT, Albert HOLROYD and G. O. HENISELMAN were pallbearers.

From St. Cloud.

PLYMOUTH - Oscar GOLDTHORP of St. Cloud, Minn., and Mrs. Lucy VANDERBURG of Epping, N. Dak., came to attend the funeral of their mother, Mrs. Rebecca GOLDTHORP.
