Funeral for Ernest Daniels to Be Held at Plymouth Wednesday

CLEAR LAKE - Funeral services for Ernest DANIESL, 73, who died at his home, 206 West Center street, Monday morning following a brief illness, will be held at the Methodist church at Plymouth Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock.

The Rev. J. B. CALHOUN, pastor of the local Congregational churh, will conduct the rites and burial will be in Plymouth cemetery. Ward's funeral home is making arrangements.

A brief prayer services will be held at the home in Clear Lake at 1 o'clock.

BURY LAKE MAN AT PLYMOUTH

Ernest Daniels, 73, Survived by Widow, Several Children

CELAR LAKE - Funeral services for Ernest DANIELS, 73, who died at his home, 206 West Center street, Monday morning following a brief illness, were held at the Methodist church in Plymouth Wednesday afternoon. The Rev. J. B. CALHOUN, pastor of the local Congregational church, conducted the rites. Ward's funeral home made the arrangements and burial was at Plymount [Oakwood Cemetery].

The choir of the Plymouth church sange "The Old Rugged Cross," "When They Ring Those Golden Bells For You and me" and a selection of their own choosing.

Mrs. Charles GEORGE and Mrs. Lloyd CROZIER arranged the flowers. Pallbearers, all members of the Sunshine club of Mitchell county, were Oscar FIELD, Gus LUNDY, Adolph STAAMUN, E. G> GARVEY, Elmer CRAWFORD and Glenn GAST.

Mr. DANIELS was born Feb. 18, 1867, at Rochester, N.Y., the son of Sterling and Mary Ann DANIELS. He came to Iowa with his parents in 1877, settling on a farm in Kossuth county and living in Iowa the rest of his life. When a young man he united with the Baptist church at Wesley.

March 8, 1892, he was married at Rockford to Miss Emelia McCREEDY who died Sept. 16, 1902. To them were born seven children, one dying in infancy. Surviving are Walter H. DANIELS, Waterloo; Mrs. Lloyd AVERY, Des Moines; Harvey E. DANIELS, Decorah; Mrs. A. F. MAHNKE, Waterloo; Mrs. Blanch M. ARCH, Charles City; Mrs. Lucy M. McFADDEN, Dewitt, Ill.; and an adopted daughter, Mrs. Lee ROBERTS, Mason City; 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Sept. 27, 1919, Mr. DANIELS married Mrs. Mabel GROW, who, with five children survives. The children are S. A. GROW, Waterloo; Mrs. Harry RUSSELL and Mrs. A. C. HAWKINS, Mason City; Mrs. Harvey E. DANIELS, Decorah; and Mrs. J. P. JOHNSON, Waterloo, and 8 grandchildren.

All of the children and step-children excepting Mrs. McFADDEN and Mr. GROW were present for the service.
