DEATH NOTICES

GOVIG, Ole O., 61, died at his home, 1538 Adams avenue northwest, at 6 o'clock Monday morning following an illness of about four weeks. Funeral services will be held at the chapel of the McAuley and Son funeral home at 2:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon, with the Rev. David L. KRATZ, pastor of the Church of Christ, in charge. Burial will be at Memorial Park cemetery. The McAuley and Son funeral home in charge.

Funeral Rites to Be Held at 2:30 O'Clock Wednesday Afternoon

Ole O. GOVIG, 67, died at his home, 1538 Adams avenue northwest, at 6 o'clock Monday morning following an illness of about four weeks. he last worked March 13, 1939.

Mr. GOVIG had been employed at the Northwestern States Portland cement plant for the past 20 years as a scale and mill operator. He was born Feb. 23, 1878, at Rochelle, Ill. He was married to Miss Belinda UHR at Emmetsburg, March 20, 1901.

Surviving Mr. GOVIG are his wife, two daughters, Mrs. N. E. STRAW, 1441 Jefferson avenue northwest, and Mrs. Lester LAIDIG, Cedar Rapids, and one son, Obie OVIG, Independence, and six grandchildren, Dorothy, Robert and Howard STRAW, Mason City, Jimmy LAIDIG, Cedar Rapids, and Billy and Dickie GOVIG, Britt.

Funeral services will be held at the chapel of the McAuley and Son funeral home at 2:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon, with the Rev. Daivd L. KRATZ, pasotr of the Church of Christ, in charge. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.
