JOHN BROMLEY SERIOUSLY HURT

Physicians Hold Little Hope
for Recovery of Farmer Injured in Crash.

JOhn BROMLEY, a farmer living northeast of Mason City, ws in a critical condition at the Park hospital Thursday following an automobile accident on the Plymouth road Wednesday evening.

The attending physician of Mr. BROMLEY stated that it appeared that he had suffered a fracture of the skull, a broken neck and possibly a broken jaw. He was paralyzed from the shoulders down.

The physician described his situation as extremely serious and stated there was little hope that he would recover.

Mr. BROMLEY recovered his consciousness about three hours after he reached the hospital Wednesday evening and since been able to converse with Mrs. BROMLEY, who was notified of his injuries shortly after the accident.

The injured man, however, did not know how the accident happened. He was alone in the car. He was found pinned under the machine by Sherman HILL and Robert BLACK, driver of a Lyons laundry wagon, in which the two were riding. They notified the sheriff, following which an ambulance was called, which brot (sic) Mr. BROMLEY to the hospital.

John BROMLEY, northeast of Mason City, who was probably fatally injured in an automobile accident on the Plymouth road Wednesday evening, is still resting in Park hospital with his condition unchanged. Suffering a broken neck and fractured skill, he remains completely paralyzed from the shoulders down tho (sic) he has regained consciousness. Attending physicians hold practically no hope for him.

BROMLEY RITES TO BE TUESDAY

Plymouth Man Dies of Broken Neck Following Auto Accident.

Funeral services for Perry John BROMLEY, northeast of Mason City, who died at 7:15 o'clock Sunday morning, a victim of a broken neck, which he received in an automobile accident last Wednesday, will be held at 2 o'clock Tuesday at the Church of Christ.

He was about 40 years of age, being born in Joplin, Mo., Nov. 24, 1890.

Mr. BROMLEY is survived by his wife and five children: Elsie, 8; Jack, 6; Perry, 4' Glen, 2; and Robert, 1; and by a first marriage, Charlie, 16; Marvin, 14; Arthur, 12; and Max, 11. He is also survived by his father and brothers, Ira of Fenton; Robert of Dike; Frank of Cedar Falls and harry of Eldora; and sisters, Mrs. J. A. GILLILAND of Fairmont, Minn., Mrs. Marvin DAY of Whittier and Mrs. Bud DEMING of Bagley.

The Rev. William GALBRETH of the Plymouth M.E. church will officiate at the funeral. The body will lie in state at the Neyer funeral hall until time for services.

NOTE: Perry "John" BROMLEY was interred at Oakwood Cemetery, Plymouth.
