MASON CITY - Ivan Lee MILLER, 76, of 2107 S. Jefferson Ave., died Friday, Dec. 24, 2010, at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit, Mason City.

The family will greet friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 28, at Hogan Bremer Moore Colonial Chapel, 126 Third St. N.E., Mason City.

Memorials may be directed to the Ivan Lee MILLER Memorial in care of Kerry MILLER, 1420 N.W. 90th Court, Clive, IA 50325.

Ivan Lee MILLER was born on July 14, 1934, in Thornton, the son of Charles and Frances (MERCHANT) MILLER. He attended Mason City Schools. Ivan enlisted into the United States Navy serving during the Korean War and later was honorably discharged.

Ivan was united in marriage to Marlene HOVE and to this union three children were born.

Ivan worked over 30 years for Jorgensen Steel Company in California. After Marlene passed away, Ivan returned back to Mason City to be closer to his family.

Ivan enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He loved to share his faith with everyone. Ivan attended Grace Evangelical Free Church, Mason City. His hobbies included fishing with his family, garage sales, tinkering with any kind of electronics and he enjoyed computers.

Ivan is survived by his sons Kerry (Peggy) MILLER, West Des Moines, Tim MIILER and Robin, Dirk (Vicki) MILLER, all of California, grandchildren Wendy, Shawn, James and Kevin MILLER, Tiffany (James) GROFF, Stephen, Andrew, and Taylor MILLER; one great-granddaughter Hailey GROFF and one great-grandson to arrive in March; siblings Duane (Judy) MILLER, Florida, Joyce FRANCIS, Vern MILLER, Audrey (J.P.) JOHNSON, and Gary (Jayne) MILLER, all of Mason City; along with several nieces and nephews other relatives and friends.

Ivan is preceded in death by his parents, wife Marlene, siblings Donald MILLER, Darold MILLER, Mary Lou BRYANT and Doris DISCHLER.
