LAS VEGAS, Nev. -Jeanie passed peacefully in her sleep at her home in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Jan. 8, 2010.

Jeanie was born in Forest City, Iowa, on Nov. 30, 1953. She was a Mason City High School graduate. She enjoyed crafts, sewing, and her tall friend giraffes.

Jeanie was survived by her husband, David BRAUN; daughters, Angie (Rod) DICKINSON, and Katie (Larry) SPELLINS; stepson, Elivin BRAUN; 10 grandchildren, Angel, Skyler, Lilly, and Zander DICKINSON; Dustin and Daniel SPELLINS; Westley, Keegan, and Kailob ELDRIDGE; Baisley BRAUN; mother, Ester RAPP; four brothers, and three sisters, and many nieces and nephews.

Jeanie was preceded in death by her father, Harold RAPP; sister, Pat LEWERKE; brother, Dwayne RAPP; and son, Chad ELDRIDGE.

A memorial gathering to celebrate Jeanie's life will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 15, 2009, at the First Baptist Church, 125 E. State St. Mason City.
