MASON CITY - Lois Mae SMITH, 70, of 327 23rd St. S.W., died Monday, June 27, 2011, at her home.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, July 1, at Hogan Bremer Moore Colonial Chapel, 126 Third St. N.E., Mason City, with the Rev. Kenneth B. GEHLING officiating. Inurnment will be in Elmwood-St. Joseph's Cemetery, Mason City.

Visitation will be held Friday one hour prior to the service at Hogan Bremer Moore Colonial Chapel, 126 Third St. N.E., Mason City.

Memorials may be directed to the Lois Mae SMITH Memorial.

Lois Mae MEYER was born Nov. 29, 1940, in Mason City, the daughter of Richard and Dorothy (Van HORN) MEYER. She attended Mason City Schools. Lois was married and was blessed with six children. She worked at the Clear Lake Bakery and later worked in local hotels in housekeeping.

Lois enjoyed spending time with her family, vegetable gardening, canning, cooking, baking, decorating her yard, playing bingo, garage and rummage sales, attending the Community Kitchen and loved spending time at East Park. She also enjoyed spending time with her sister, Jane.

Lois is survived by her children, Robin SMITH, Nampa, Idaho; Ronda (Bill) ENDERSON, Northwood; Rodney SMITH, Boise, Idaho; Rolinda SMITH, Clear Lake; and Rob SMITH, Mason City; 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; three sisters and one brother; along with several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Lois is preceded in death by her parents, son Roy SMITH and one brother.
