MICHAEL BLAKE SUCCUMBS HERE

Funeral Services to be Held
at St. Joseph's Church Wednesday Morning.

Michael BLAKE, 81, died at his home, 516 Georgia avenue southeast, about 3:20 o'clock Sunday afternoon from the infirmities of age. He had been a resident of Mason City for the past 25 years.

Mr. BLAKE was born in Ireland Sept. 28, 1853. He came to the United States about 78 years ago and settled in Rockwell. He moved to Mason City from Rockwell in 1910. Mr. BLAKE was a carpenter by trade. He was married to Johanna KELLY in January, 1886 at Rockwell.

Surviving Mr. BLAKE are three sons, Edward and jerome at home, and Francis, Austin, Minn., and one sister, Mary ORNSBY, Chicago. Mr. BLAKE was preceded in death by his wife Aug. 30, 1924.

Monday the body was taken from the Meyer funeral home to the residence, where the Rosary will be said Monday and Tuesday evenings at 8 o'clock. Funeral services will be held at the St. Joseph's church Wednesday morning at 9:30 o'clock, with the Rt. Rev. P. S. O'CONNOR in charge. Burial will be at St. Joseph's Catholic cemetery.
