DAVID M'GREEVY, 84, SUCCUMBS

Funeral Services Will Be Held Monday Morning at St. Joseph's.

David McGREEVY, 84, died at his home, 59 River Heights, about 1 o'clock Saturday morning following an illness of several months. Mr. McGREEVY had been a resident of Cerro Gordo county for many years.

Mr. McGREEVY was born Oct. 16, 1851, in County Down, Ireland. He came to the United States at the age of 17 and settled at Dubuque. Later he moved to Shenandoah and then to Cerro Gordo county and had been a resident of Mason City for the past 26 years. For 30 years he was roadmaster for the Burlington railroad.

On Sept. 23, 1878, Mr. McGREEVY was married to Mary Ann McVEY at Bellevue. He was preceded in death by his wife Nov. 14, 1935.

Surviving Mr. McGREEVY are one son, David McGREEVY, at home; and seven daughters, Margaret, at home; Sister Davida, Chicago; Sister Marie Therese, Jackson, Nebr.; Mrs. Nellie MARICLE, Mason City; Mrs. Edward O'CONNOR, St. Cloud, Minn.; Mrs. L. J. GINTHNER, Buffalo Center, and Mrs. S. G. CLINKSCALES, Boonville, Mo.

Funeral services for Mr. McGREEVY will be held at the St. Joseph's Catholic church Monday morning at 9:30 o'clock, with the Monsignor P.S. O'CONNOR in charge of services. Burial will be at Elmwood cemetery. Saturday afternoon the body was taken from the Meyer funeral home to the residence at 59 River Heighst, where the Rosary will be said Saturday and Sunday evenings at 8 o'clock.

David McGreevey Rites Held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church Here

Funeral services for David McGREEVY, 84, who died at his home, 59 River Heights, Saturday morning following an illness, were held at the St. Joseph's Catholic church Monday morning, with the Monsignor P. S. O'CONNOR in charge. Burial was at Elmwood cemetery.

Pallbearers were T. F. CAIN, A. R. WEST, J. J. McCOLE, J. J. BURNS, L. C. PATTEE and Matt KELLY. Ushers at the church were Vic COYLE and Morris CULLEN.
