HOLLAND, Mich. — Virginia MIDNESS, 87, of Holland, Mich., died Thursday (May 26, 2005) at The Hospice House of Holland, Michigan.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 North Pennsylvania Avenue, Mason City, Iowa, with the Rev. Dave BIDDLE officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be two hours prior to service time at the funeral home on Tuesday.

Memorials may be directed to Hospice of Holland, 270 Hoover Blvd. Holland, Mich. 49423.

Virginia MIDNESS was born the daughter of John and Gladys MADIGAN on October 20, 1917, in Britt, Iowa.

She was a graduate of Mason City High School in Mason City. She worked for McGladrey-Hansen and Dunn Accounting Firm, Mason City. She was a former member of First Baptist Church of Mason City, Iowa.

In 2000, she came to live near her family in Holland, Mich., and was a resident at The Warm Friend of Holland.

Her surviving family includes: her daughter, Ginger and, David McGINN, of Holland; her son, Fredrick MIDNESS of Raleigh, N.C.; four grandchildren; sister, Eileen OLSON of El Paso,Texas; nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond O. MIDNESS in 1984.
