Wednesday, May 25, 2005MASON CITY — Edna L. LANE, 77, of Mason City died Monday (May 23, 2005) at the Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the First Assembly of God Church, 1301 N . Carolina Ave., Mason City, with the Rev. Clyde W. HARVEY officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Ave., Mason City.
Memorials may be directed to the Edna L. Lane Memorial Fund.
Edna L. LANE was born Sept. 14, 1912, the daughter of Edward and Gertrude (WILCOX) EYGABROAD in rural Manly. She graduated High School from Trenton, Mo., in 1947.
Edna was united in marriage to Harold A. LANE on March 9, 1947, in Trenton, Mo. The couple moved to Mason City in 1947. Edna helped Harold through the years doing janitorial work at McGladery and Pullen. She also cleaned several houses in the area throughout the years.
Survivors include her husband, Harold, of Mason City; daughter, Diana SABLE and friend, Jerry, of Mason City; sons, Jim LANE and Pam LANE of Jackson, Tenn., Steve A. LANE and wife, Nancy, of Mason City; daughter-in-law, Dixie LANE of Rockford; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brother, Richard GARL of Quincey, Ill.; cousins, Claude MILLER of Cedar Falls, and Ernest Dean CAMPBELL of Cameron, Mo.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, three half-brothers, one sister, two half-sisters, and a son, Lewis.
