Mason City, IA - Funeral services will be 1 PM Tuesday at Trinity Lutheran Church, 213 N. Pennsylvania Ave., for Rosie A. Pinneke, 82, of 302 Second St. NE. She died Saturday (June 3, 1989) at the Good Shepherd Nursing Home of natural causes. The Rev. Randy Kasch will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Pinneke was born July 16, 1906 near Manly to John and Anna (Fitzl) Behm. On June 18, 1924, she married William M. (Bill) Pinneke at Mason City. They lived in Mason City for a short time before moving to the Sheffield area, where they lived for several years. They returned to Mason City in 1941. For the past seven years, Mrs. Pinneke has lived at the Good Shepherd Nursing Home.
She enjoyed gardening, fishing, cooking and sewing. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and a former member of the Shalom Tower Club and a 4-H Club.
Visitation will be after 5 PM Monday at Hogan-Bremer Colonial Chapel, 126 Third St. NE and at the church one hour prior to services.
Survivors include three daughters, Ardith Carolus and Viola Stricker, both of Mason City, and Marian Cresswell, Portland, OR; two sons, Lawrence, of Garner, and Robert of St. Ansgar; one sister, Ella Gratias, Mason City; and 19 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, 12 step-grandchildren, 13 step-great-grandchildren and three step-great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two daughters, two stepsons, two sisters, one brother, one grandson and one great-grandson.
