Obituary - Carol Ann Meyer

Mason City- Carol Ann MEYER 66, of 1205 North Washington, died Thursday March 9, 2006, at her home.

Funeral service will be held 10:30 A.M. Monday March 13, 2006, at Hogan Bremer Moore Colonial Chapel 126 3rd Street. N.E. Mason City, with Pastor Thomas HEALEY officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Mason City.

Visitation will be Sunday from 3- 5 P.M. at Hogan Bremer Moore Colonial Chapel 126 3rd Street. N.E. Mason City.

Memorials may be directed to American Cancer Society or Hospice of North Iowa.

Carol A. MEYER was born December 24, 1939, in Walters, Minnesota, the daughter of Harold and Erma (AWE) MEYER. She attended various schools around the Mason City area. She was employed with United Hydraulics in Hampton, the Milepost 194, now Denny's in Clear Lake, Eaton's in Belmond, she retired from Bill's BBQ where she worked for nine years until she became stricken with cancer.

Carol loved her job as being the only waitress at Bill's BBQ, she loved her customers and enjoyed seeing them regularly, she became wonderful friends with her boss Jaylene WHIPPLE and her husband Steve WHIPPLE.

Carol loved gardening with her neighbor Jan BERGA and filling up her bird feeders to feed "her" birds. She was an avid collector of bears, stuffed ones and all sorts of bear trinkets, and blankets. When Carol wasn't outside doing her yard work, she loved cooking her wonderful meals and singing and dancing to her country music while cleaning her house, she also loved Elton John and Elvis.

Some of Carol's favorite things to do were playing jokes on family and friends watching her Vikings beat the Packers, and shopping at Wal-mart, but most of all spending time with her family, grand kids and great grand kids.

Carol lived life to the fullest each and every day like it was her last and now that she is gone she will be missed by her family and friends and to anyone who came in contact with her it was truly a blessing and an honor to have known her.

The family of Carol would like to give a special thank you to Hospice and the American Cancer Society for all the help and care received by them.

Survivors include, two sons Larry MEYER and his wife Tracey Meyer, Hampton IA, Jim BRUNSTEIN, Mason City. Three daughters Vicki JOHNSON and boyfriend Russ ROATH, Mason City, Kelly BRUNSTEIN and Jody SPEAR, Mason City, Tina MILLER and Ryan COMPTON Mason City. Fourteen grandchildren, Lucas MEYER, Jessica JOHNSON, Kelly HAACK, Becky CARR all of Hampton, Iowa, Cody, Dustin and Amanda BRUNSTEIN all of Dumont, IA, Crystal RICHARDS, Missouri Cameron BRUNSTEIN, Missouri, Danielle ROATH, Mason City, Mysti May and Dexter Jo (pug dogs) Mason City, Patience MEYER, Chayse WHITNEY, Bobby MILLER and Hunter MILLER all of Mason City. Six great-grandchildren Sydney MEYER, Cammie HAACK, Braydon JOHNSON all of Hampton, IA, Shania, Haley, and Shown RICHARDS, all of Missouri, one brother Richard MEYER, Mason City, and one sister Betty LICHMAN.

She was preceded in death by her parents Harold and Erma (AWE) MEYER and two brothers Dennis and Donald MEYER.
