RUDD - Gary Alan JANSSEN, 40, of rural Rudd, died Monday (Jan. 30, 2006) at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Ave., with the Rev. Kathy GRAVES officiating. Inurnment will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation for Gary will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. today at Major Erickson Funeral Home.

Memorials may be directed to the Gary Alan JANSSEN Memorial Fund.

Gary Alan JANSSEN was born Oct. 25, 1965, the son of Francis and Nancy (MOELLER) JANSSEN in Osage. Gary attended school in Charles City and graduated from Charles City High School in 1984. Gary served in the United States Air Force, from which he was honorably discharged, and later enlisted in the USAF National Guard.

He was united in marriage to Judy L. DeMARIS on Aug. 19, 2000, in Nashua.

Gary enjoyed woodworking, reading, attending auctions, fishing and especially deer hunting. Gary worked for Winnebago Industries in Charles City for nine years.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Barbara and Anne JANSSEN, of Utah; his wife, Judy JANSSEN and their children, Kevin and Benjamin JANSSEN, all of rural Rudd; his parents, Fran and Nancy JANSSEN of Rudd; a brother, Jim JANSSEN and wife, Lori, of Floyd; his maternal grandmother, Jean MOELLER of Nora Springs; and his nephews, Cory, Andy and Joe JANSSEN all of Floyd; and his father-in-law, Julias DeMARIS of Clarksville.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Paul MOELLER; his paternal grandparents, Bernard and Alice JANSSEN; and his mother-in-law, Gloria DeMARIS.
