Obituary - Luella "Lu" (Stockwell) Davis

Lu DAVIS, 88, formerly of Clear Lake, Iowa died Nov. 11, 2008 in Ferdinand, Indiana.

Memorial services will be Saturday Nov. 22, 2008 11:00 a.m. at the First Congregational Church, Clear Lake, Iowa with Rev. Michael NASH officiating. Visitation will be half hour before the service. Family suggests memorials to Lu DAVIS memorial fund.

Lu was born August 17, 1920 in Belmond, Iowa the daughter of Fred and Emma (NIHOOF) STOCKWELL.

She graduated from Garner High School in 1938.

Lu married Edward DAVIS Nov. 16, 1946 in Nashua, Iowa.

Lu worked for the Garner High School for five years as a secretary and then the Clear Lake High School as a secretary for fourteen and half years.

She was a member of First Congregational Church, Clear Lake, Iowa.

Lu is survived by her son John DAVIS, Toledo, Ohio; grandson Jeffrey DAVIS and his wife Pam, St. Meinrad, Indiana; granddaughter Kristie NIEMI and her husband Christopher, Maple Grove, Minnesota and two great-grandchildren Katelyn and Johnathon DAVIS.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Edward, daughter Carolyn STRICKER and sister-in-law Evelyn STOCKWELL.
