Thomas E. Needham, 91, dies

Thomas E. NEEDHAM, 91, died early Friday morning [April 22, 1962] at the IOOF Home. He was a retired railroad employe (sic) and had lived in this community 52 years, making his home at 1440 President NW.

Mr. NEEDHAM was born July 23, 1870, in Butler County, son of Leslie and Ellen (LAWYER) NEEDHAM. He was married to Dena BEEK, Nov. 21, 1894, at Garner.

Surviving are his wife, Dena; a son, Walter NEEDHAM, Emmetsburg; three daughters, Mrs. Wesley (Lucille) WILKIE, Alden; Mrs. Donald E. (Hazel) WATTS, Mason City, and Mrs. Vern (Mable) STUDER, Hampton, 15 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren; and a brother, Faye NEEDHAM, Abilene, Kan.

He was preceded in death by a son in infancy, a granddaughter, four brothers and three sisters.

Mr. NEEDHAM was a member of the IOOF Lodge 224, Mason City.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Patterson-James Chapel. The Rev. George ADKINS, pastor of the First Christian Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
