FRANK W. POPP

February 12, 1897 – October 20, 1960

MANLY, IA - Frank W. Popp, 63, died Thursday (October 20, 1960) at a Mason City hospital following a long illness. Funeral services will be Monday at 9 AM at the Sacred Heart Church here with burial in the Osage Cemetery. The Rev. Msgr. Ernest P. Ament will officiate. Parish Rosary will be said at Bride’s Funeral Home, Manly, at 8 PM Sunday.

Born February 12, 1897, at Plymouth, he was the son of John and Catherine Fitzl Popp. He was employed by the Rock Island Railroad until he retired because of poor health. For the last 26 years he had lived with is sister, Mrs. Len Stangler, Manly.

Surviving are six brothers, Lawrence, Rochester, MN; John, Manly; Rudolph, Edward and Walter, Mason City; David, Nekoosa, WI; six sisters, Mrs. Stangler, Mrs. Perry (Annie) Weaverling, Osage; Mrs. E.H. (Martha) Paul, Mason City; Mrs. Charles (Barbara) Van Hoosier, Davenport; Mrs. Ed (Bertha) Clayton, Summerville, MO; Mrs. Ed (Catherine) Kollmann, Osage.
