Obituary - Lloyd M. Pope

Lloyd M. POPE passed away August 6, 2001, Clear Lake, Iowa. Memorials may be given to the Lloyd M. POPE Memorial Fund.

Lloyd was born March 13, 1933, in Rockwell, the son of Frank and Myrna (WEPKING) Pope. He graduated from Hanlontown High School in 1951, and entered the service in 1953, serving in the U.S. Army until 1955.

Following his discharge, Lloyd was engaged in farming northwest of Mason City, where he raised Shorthorn Cattle.

He married Donna NIVER on June 15, 1962, in Mason City. He semi-retired from farming in 1997.

Lloyd was a member of Farm Bureau, American Legion, former board member of Hanlontown Co-op and a trustee of Lincoln Township.

Lloyd is survived by his wife, Donna, of rural Clear Lake; two sons, Michael POPE and his wife, Christy, of rural Clear Lake, and Frank POPE, of rural Clear Lake; two grandchildren, Zachary and Jennifer; sister, Audrey KNOWLES and husband, Delivan, of Mason City; and sister, Lorraine PETHICK and her husband, Ronald, of Pueblo, Colo.; a brother, Roger POPE and his wife, Myrna, of Mason City; a sister, Frances.

Interment at Lincoln Township Cemetery north of Clear Lake.
