Services for Charter Member Held at Zion Lutheran Church
CLEAR LAKE -- Funeral services for Mrs. Sven KNUTSON, 91, who died at her home, 510 Henry street, Thursday evening of frailties of age, were held at the Zion Lutheran church Saturday afternoon. The Rev. Ruben MOSTROM, pastor, conducted the rites and burial was in Clear Lake cemetery. Ward's funeral home made the arrangements.
Mrs. A. E. FOLKMANN, accompanied at the organ by Mrs. H. L. ERICKSON, sang "Going Home" by Dvorak and "I Shall See Him Face to Face." Flowers were arranged by Mmes. Charles HANSEN and John MORAN.
Pallbearers were Charles ELIASEN, Peter SWANSON, Frank DAKER, ELton HILLS, Arthur JOHNSON and Earl HUNTLEY.

Ella FODNESS was born at Valders, Norway, March 23, 1851, and came to America with her parents when four-years-old, being on the water six weeks. The family lived at first at Calmar and then at Blue Earth, Minn.
In July, 1870, Miss FODNESS was married to Mr. KNUTSON and to them eight children were born. The eldest son, Cano, and a daughter, Minnie, preceded their parents in death. Living are Dr. Henry W. KNUTSON, Dr. Frank L. KNUTSON and Albert T. KNUTSON, Clear Lake; Mrs. John W. PARKER, Hancock, Minn.; Mrs. Rudolph FRITZ, Los Angeles, Cal, and Mrs. John A. JOHNSON, Preston, Minn. Also surviving are a sister, Mrs. George GARDNER, Clear Lake; a brother Gilbert FODNESS, Stevens, Minn.; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Mr. and Mrs. KNUTSON lived on a farm near Clear Lake many years but moved in 1901 to Hancock, Minn., where they stayed 11 years before returning to Clear Lake where Mr. KNUTSON died June 8, 1916. Since then Mrs. KNUTSON has lived with her son, Albert, in her own home.
Mrs. KNUTSON was the last charter member of the Zion Lutheran church organized June 30, 1871, being an active worker as long as she was able.
Among out of town relatives present for the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. PARKER, Mr. and MRs. JOHNSON, Dr. and Mrs. Leroy KNUTSON, Elkader; Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd PARKER, Fairbault, Minn. and Mr. and Mrs. W. H. WORGAWSKY, Boyden.
