OTHER DRIVER NOT HURT

State highway patrolmen said he probably fell asleep at the wheel. His auto left the road, then swung back, sideswiping a transport truck traveling in the opposite direction.

Lester Luther, 21, of Walkerton, Ind., driver of the truck, was uninjured.

Grace was rushed to Jane Lamb hospital here where he died an hour after the accident of a basal skull fracture.

He was an honor student in commercial subjects in college and was serving as commercial teacher at Swaledale.

Grace had been visiting his parents at Bennett during spring vacation and was returning there from Sterling, Ill., where he had been to take a girl friend home.

The accident occurred at 1:30 a.m. and Grace died 40 minutes later at a Clinton hospital. The body was taken to a Davenport mortuary.

Grace is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Grace, and a sister, Cathryn.
