Leslie W. EALY was born at Belle Plaine, Iowa, on August 25th, 1891 and passed away June 16, 1926, aged 34 years, 10 months and 9 days.
He was a World War veteran, having entered the service at Camp Pike, Ark., in July 1918. He was there but three weeks when he was made a corporal of Co. E 1st Training Regiment Infantry and received his honorable discharge from the service in January 1919. On January 19th of the same year he was united in marriage to Miss Agnes DOUGHERTY of Mason City, Iowa.
To them three children were born, Melvin, 5, Wayne 4, and Doris, 3.
He worked for the C.&N.W.Ry for a number of years a brakeman on the passenger on the I. & M. Division and later was ticket agent at Mason City.
In 1918 he started to work for the C.R.I.&P. Ry. as ticket agent until called to service. After returning he resumed his duties as ticket agent until 1921 when he took a position as operator for the Chicago and Great Western Ry. and was working at Harlan at the time of his death.
Besides the wife and three children he is mourned by his parents of this city, two brothers W. C. EALY of Albany, Mo., and Glen EALY of Des Moines, his aged grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. E. M. EALY of this city and othe relative.
He was a kind and loving husband and father and well liked by all who knew him.

Among the number from out of the city who were here to attend the funeral services for L. W. EALY who was accompanied here from the Sanatorium at Cherokee, Iowa, by her sisters and their husbands, Mr. and Mrs. R. J. HOGAN of Daughtery (sic), Iowa, Mr. and mrs. M. McDONOUGH of Rockwell, Iowa, Mr. and Mrs. Glen EALY of Des Moines, Iowa, Mr. and Mrs. Douglass EALY and daughter Maxine of Lohrville, Iowa, and Mr. Edward EALY of Pomeroy, Iowa.
