LAKER BURIED AT GLENVILLE

Dr. Riner Officiates at Services for Mrs. Hattie Edwards.

CLEAR LAKE, Feb. 22. -- Funeral services for Mrs. Hattie EDWARDS, 52, were held at the Ward Funeral home Friday afternoon. Services were also held later in the afternoon at Gordonsville, Minn., and burial was made at Glenville, Minn. Dr. B. W. RINER, pastor of the Methodist church, officiated at both services.

Mrs. EDWARDS died suddenly early Wednesday morning [February 22, 1935] following an illness of a few hours. Hattie May ALEY was born Sept. 21, 1882, at Lisbon, Ohio. Her mother died while she was a small youngster and she spent her girlhood with her grandmother in Virginia. She came to Gordonsville, Minn., where she was married to Harry Vinton EDWARDS, Oct. 25, 1899.

She and her husband farmed in the vicinity of Glenville and Gordonsville for many years, coming to Clear Lake in 1920, the same year that Mr. EDWARDS died after a short illness.

Surviving her death are three daughters, Mrs. Lloyd MILLER, Ethel EDWARDS and Cecyl EDWARDS, and two sons, Lyle Harry EDWARDS and Hubert Wilson EDWARDS, all of Clear Lake; a step-mother, Mrs. L. R. ALEY, two half-sisters, Mrs. william DUNBAR and Mrs. J. DUNBAR, Burbank, Cal., and four grandchildren. Two daughters preceded her in death, Mary Maud and Mrs. Edwin ZOOK.
