Obituary - Charles "Chuck" Glidden

Wednesday, March 26, 2008Memorial Services will be held, Wednesday, March 26, 2008, at Ward Van Slyke Colonial Chapel in Clear Lake. The service is at 2 p.m. Military honors will be provided by the Clear Lake VFW. Memorials may be made out to the family.
Mr. Glidden was born the son of Thomas and Helen Gertrude (PUTT) GLIDDEN October 16, 1940, in Windom, Minn. He graduated from Spencer High School and served in the US Navy from 1962-1965. Chuck married Nancy KIMBALL September 8, 1978, at MacIntosh Woods in Ventura.
He formerly owned the Ventura Meat Locker, and retired as the bakery manager of Hy-Vee in Rochester, Minn. He was a member of the Clear Lake VFW, and a past member of the Lions.
Mr. GLIDDEN is survived by his wife Nancy, of Ventura; his children, Nathan GLIDDEN, Ventura, Justin GLIDDEN, Ventura, Kris RONS, Spencer, Travis (Theresa) GLIDDEN, Garner, Matthew GLIDDEN, Mason City, Mark GLIDDEN, Clear Lake; several grandchildren; his brother, Bob (Bonnie) GLIDDEN, Clear Lake; mother and father-in-law, Bob (Nettie) KIMBALL, Ventura; sister-in-law, Clarice GLIDDEN, Denison; sisters and brothers-in-law, Bev (Wayne) KOZISEK, Clear Lake, Bonnie (Darrell) BULLINGTON, Minneapolis, and many special nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Richard GLIDDEN.
