CLEAR LAKE — Former Clear Lake resident, Mrs. Frank (Inez) Phinney, 84, of Mesa, Ariz., died Tuesday (May 14, 1985) at a Mason City hospital.

Memorial services will be held 7 p.m. Friday at the Grace United Methodist Church, 200 14th NW, Mason City, with the Rev. Harlan Stenberg, former pastor of the Grace United Methodist Church, officiating. The body will be cremated.

She was born Jan. 11, 1901 at Sloan, the daughter of Elmer and Clara (Nelson) Miller. She attended and graduated from Sloan High School and later attended teachers college in Colorado. She taught in Alden for a short time. On May 22, 1926, she was married to Frank Phinney at Sutherland.

Memorials may be given to the Grace United Methodist Church. Major Erickson Funeral Home, Mason City, is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include her husband Frank E., of Mesa, Ariz., currently of Mason City; one son, George E. of Mason City; one sister, Mrs. William (Fern) Jepson, Sioux City; one brother, Leonard Miller, Sacramento, Calif.; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
