MASON CITY — Martha "Louise" Anderson, 81, of 543 Fourth St. N.E., died Thursday (Oct. 15, 1998) at her home.
Memorial services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Ave., Mason City, with the Rev. Greg Reese of Abundant Life Tabernacle, Albert Lea, Minn., officiating. Interment will take place in Oakwood Cemetery, Forest City, at a later date.
There will be no public visitation.
Memorials may be directed to the Louise Andersen Memorial Fund.
Martha "Louise" Andersen was born Nov. 18, 1916, in Swisher to Morton and Ruby C. (Christ) Olsen. The family then moved to Forest City where she graduated high school.
Louise worked at Deckers in Mason City for many years before moving to Omaha, Neb., where she worked for First Data Corporation.
After retiring she returned to Mason City where she has lived the last 16 years.
Louise was an avid reader and enjoyed crocheting and bird watching.
She is survived by three sons, David B. Andersen and his wife, Joyce, Carter Lake, James O. Andersen, and his wife, Delores, Mason City, Martin "Bill" Andersen and his wife, Joann, Omaha, Neb.; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one brother, James Olsen, Austin, Texas.
Louise was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Ruby Hodson; and one grandson, David S. Andersen.
